We Share our Faith In our Institutions
The Education ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada (SDACC) consists of over 40 educational institutions across Canada, including early childhood programs, elementary schools, junior academies, and senior academies. As a ministry, we believe that Adventist education exists to inspire in each student a life of faith, wisdom, and service.
The first Adventist school opened in 1853 in Buck’s Bridge, New York. The first Adventist school in Canada opened about thirty years later in South Stukely, Quebec. By 1920, the church had established schools in almost every province across Canada. Today, the Adventist school system is one of the largest Christian education systems in the world with 7500 schools in nearly 150 countries, and approximately 85,000 teachers and 1.5 million students worldwide.
The SDACC Office of Education serves our conferences and approximately 350 educators across Canada. We also partner with Burman University in the training and ongoing support of our educators. Our aim is to seek God first as we collaborate together for continuous improvement on a journey to excellence.

Lifemark Scholarship For Black & Indigenous StudentThe Lifemark Scholarship for Black and Indigenous Students was created to support diversity within the occupational therapy and physiotherapy professions. The annual scholarship is available to students from Black and Indigenous communities and provides financial support for those pursuing post-secondary learning in a recognized Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters program in Canada.
