Downsview Morningstar Adventurers Achieve Perfection at Conference Bible Game
The halls of the Downsview Seventh-day Adventist Church are echoing with cheers this week as the Downsview Morningstar Adventurer Club celebrates a historic performance in the 2026 Adventurer Bible Game (ABG) circuit. After months of rigorous study and a challenging road through the district level, the team reached the pinnacle of success at the Ontario Conference finals.
The Road to Victory
The journey began in the Metro North Central District, where the team faced off against talented clubs from across the region. Competing at Mount Zion Filipino Church on April 11, the Morningstar Adventurers demonstrated exceptional focus, securing a second-place finish. This strong performance earned them a coveted spot at the Conference-level competition held on May 2.
A Standard of Excellence
Success of this magnitude is rarely a matter of luck. For months, the Adventurers committed to a daily regimen of study and practice, diving deep into the 2026 theme: “Women of the Bible.” Under the dedicated leadership of Sis. Cherianne Vincent, Sis. Alicia Taylor, and Sis. Nicole Smith, the team mastered complex scripture passages covering the lives of Esther, Ruth, Hannah, Abigail, Deborah, Mary, and Elizabeth.
The leaders’ commitment to fostering both biblical literacy and spiritual growth provided the foundation the children needed to excel under pressure.
Perfect Marks at the Conference Level
At the Ontario Conference finals, the Morningstar Adventurers reached a level of precision that left judges and spectators in awe. Facing a series of challenging questions drawn from the books of Esther, Ruth, 1 Samuel, Judges, Luke, and John, the team remained undeterred.
By the end of the event, the results were undeniable: Downsview Morningstar took home first place. In an incredible display of preparation and teamwork, the team answered every single question correctly, achieving a perfect score to close out the competition season.
Shining for Jesus
While the trophies and first-place honors are a testament to their hard work, the true heart of the Adventurer Bible Game is found in the event’s motto: “Study. Prepare. Shine for Jesus!” The Downsview Morningstar Adventurers have done exactly that. Through their discipline and dedication to God’s Word, these young disciples have not only brought honor to their home church but have hidden the scriptures in their hearts—a prize far more permanent than any certificate.
