Members of the Downsview congregation met recently to bid farewell to Pastor and Mrs. Bob Sparenberg and family. Their new location is the province of Newfoundland where Pastor Sparenberg will be conference evangelist. The first pastor of the Downsview church, Elder Sparenberg will be remembered for his loving ministry and friendship to everyone. Following appropriate speeches, the Sparenberg family was presented with a plaque and a money tree. A farewell gift and best wishes were also presented to Alise Schram, church organist and soloist who likewise departed to Canada’s eastern province.
Downsview members welcome Elder and Mrs. C.A. Newman who come from Toronto’s Parkdale Church, and join hands with them in finishing the work in the Downsview area.
