At Downsview Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that music is a sacred offering of worship, not a platform for entertainment or self-display. Our Music Ministry is grounded in the conviction that our praise must be solemn, reverent, and distinct from the secular world. We emphasize that true worship takes place when there is “melody in the heart”.
Our ministry is vibrant and diverse, providing opportunities for all ages to use their gifts for God’s glory. We feature the Downsview Adult Choir, the Senior Choir (including groups like “Autumn Leaves”), Youth Choir, and the Downsview Children’s Choir, all dedicated to lifting up the name of Jesus through hymns and anthems. We are also blessed with dynamic praise teams and soloists who share powerful testimonies through song, reminding us that God can transform lives and take us from the world’s stage to His sanctuary. Whether through a “music of meditation” or a congregational hymn, our goal is to sing with the spirit and understanding, ensuring that God is the only audience and His glory is our sole focus.
